The purpose of this workshop is to teach the basic fundamentals of Photoshop and to teach each participant how to use their own cameras on full manual. Todd and Brad will also cover many technical aspects of photography (including shutter speed, F-stops and aperture, ISO, depth of field, tripod use, etc.) The Photoshop session will be taught by Greg Dunn of Digital Imagery. Greg is one of the nations leading Photoshop experts and print masters. Greg will use a Macintosh computer with Photoshop CS4 and will project onto a screen what he is doing to an image, how he is doing it, and why.
What to Bring:
* A camera (film or digital) and the INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
* Bring lots of batteries for your own kind of camera and the charger. Remember that cool evenings on Lake Michigan can eat up battery life.
* A working tripod that works with your own camera would be strongly advised. One that has a quick release will make life much easier. If you don't have a tripod we recommend the Manfrotto 7302YB with a ball head. Roughly $124 from B&H
* Dress for the elements. It can get pretty cool on Lake Michigan, even during the summer.
* Good hiking shoes for walking in the sand and on the waters edge is recommended for people who get cold feet.
* NO NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN COMPUTER. WE WON'T HAVE TIME TO WORK WITH EACH PERSONS OWN COMPUTER : )
Cost
The workshop would cost each participant $275 (This price includes dinner at P.M. Steamers in downtown Ludington) There is a limit of 12 participants so sign up today!
